Hi guys. I just got the Profession 1.03 version of rebuilder (just copied over the existing files, hope that sokay). And I am trying to back up Finding Nemo, and towards the end I get the following error:

"File V0101580004500 show completed, but no .m2v file exists. Aborted."

I tried twice but got the same error. This is my first backup with the newer version and already got this error. Can any1 help me figure out what is wrong? I am only doing a backup of the movie ONLY.

You could save yourself a few hours and get away with untouched video, menu and DD5.1 track if you edit out the unnecessary extras.
Vob blanker should suffice. :)

This means the encoder crashed. If you are using CCE it is very likely that your system is slightly unstable. Are you overclocking?

I am using CCE and am over-clocking a little bit but Its been like this at least 2 years. And I just did some backups a couple of days ago using the older version without any problems, and system is very stable.

HKT any tutorials on how to use DVD Blanker? But Im also concerned with rebuilder since this is the first time anything goes wrong with the program out of all the times that I have had it and used it. Is it possible there is some bug with the new version? Maybe I should do a new install because all I did was over-write the old rebuilder.exe and the other files (basically just extracted the stuf into the directory).

Nothing is impossible... but it is astronomically unlikely. The creation is dying during the encode. At that point DVD-RB is just waiting for the completion of the task by the encoder. As has been said in many other posts, CCE is the ultimate stability checker.

That should help you out, be sure to check the stripping audio guide as well.

thanks guys, sorry Ive been away for a while. Just did an encode of another movie (foreign) that was a DVD9 using the same version of DVD Rebuilder and had no problems, but then when I tried to do Finding Nemo again, I had the exact same problem as before so I really don't think stability is an issue. Would you like me to post the log file? Would that better help you guys isolate the problem?

Try ripping it with DVD Fab and see if that fixes it.

thanks guys. I Re-ripped it and all is fine now. Thanks again.

*EDIT* By the way HKT thanks for the suggestion I just tried it out and it worked flawlessly!

Does any1 know if I can use this program together with DVD-RB to get better quality?

Also since I blanked out all of the extras on in VOB Blanker, does any1 know how I can delete or "disable" the buttons on the menu that correspond to the things that I blanked out so that I wont be able to select any of the extras buttons since they do not exist? Thanks for your help everyone.

Hi maxse,

this can easily be done with PgcEdit. (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/) :)

Awesome! Thanks Rippraff!

Only one problem. When I chose to "Hide" the button it doesn't really hide it. It is still shown on the screen but just can not be selected, which is absolutely fine, but if I can get rid of it so it is not shown on the screen it would be super. But as I understand hid is supposed to do just that. So why isn't it working properly?

Hi,

This is the normal way how hide button or even delete button works. ;) Only the link will be deleted so you can't select the button.

As I said it is working properly. ;)
If you want to get rid of the whole stuff there's much more work needed because you have to change parts of the video.
Here's an example how it can be done with DvdReMake Pro. (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_customize_menu_background.php)
But I've never tried it, I'm satisfied with the normal button hiding. ;)
