How can I play XviD movies from my computer that has a DVI port to my TV that has HDTV jacks?

Is there anyway I can do this?

There is an adaptor for that.

So can you post a link to the adapter?

No, because I'd have to Google it to find it, which you can do just as easily.

On the back of my TV I have the HDTV jacks that are....

Green, Blue, Red, White, Red

and I need something to go from that to my computer's DVI. Is there anyway to do it?

It looks to me like this is what he needs, that and a set of component cables. What do you think, SMD? There are 3 pictures there that you can check to get a better look.

Yes, adaptors like these would seem to do be able to do the trick.

I've got a couple of ATI adaptors, one for VGA-to-component, the other for DVI-to-component. Each of them have "dip" switches to select different outputs: -

I have not tried either of them yet though

oh well cheers mateMy current TV has DVI, 2No component, composite/s-video and a Scart input..... but I should be receiving another HDTV one with HDMI and DVI (with HDCP) soon!

That said, I like buy all these little adaptors purely out of interest and to see how well they work.... so I can either recommend them or condemn them to others ;)

I have a drawer full of the bloody things....

I use dvi and hdmi interchangably at this point
my tv accepts both
...so if I never need connectors I know who's door to knock on know SMD?

...so if I never need connectors I know who's door to knock on know SMD?You never know....
