Hi all,
I currently have ffdshow audio filter installed.
I have a media center pc connected over an optical cable to my 5.1 reciever.
When I play video files - avi or dvds with AC3 sound it plays fine.
When I play music or recorded tv which is stereo, my reciever doesnt switch to stereo mode, instead it switches to a surround passthrough mode and from the sound of it, im getting the same exact signal for each channel.
If I manually change the reciever mode to stereo while playing stereo such as mp3s I hear nothing.
So I believe the problem lies within the configuration of the audio filter.
Please help me solve this problem so I can listen to music in stereo!
