View Full Version : x264 issue, not solved by using NiceFPS

I am trying to encode a test sample using the AE-MaxQuality profile, MeGUI v0.2.3.1b and x264 rev364B. The first pass is completed normally, but the second one displays an error message and the third one is left waiting. Here's a screenshot of the issue:

This has also happened to me with the previous version of MeGUI and two or three previous versions of x264. It didn't happen before that, and adding NiceFPS() at the end of the script didn't solve the issue.

What is the error? NiceFPS is for playback issues, not encoding :p

NiceFPS is for encoding with x264... it corrects dwscale and dwrate values so x264 doesnt crash...
however seems subme 7 is the problem.
A new p8rd patch was made available by akupenguin. it fixes a couple of things... a new build is coming.

The FPS problem is only noticable with playback, not while encoding. It will not make x264 crash.

Awaiting the next version then, thanks for the quick reply.

I get the same crash, nicefpas or change fps won't fix it.

I guess I'll try subme 6 instead.
