I have used PowerDVD v4.0 with no problem for a long time. I recently installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 and ever since have not been able to play any DVD's with PowerDVD. Sometimes the program crashes outright and other times, it will attempt to "load" and then crash. Has anyone else had these problems after installing Service Pack 2, and do you know how to fix it?
The obvious solution would be to uninstall Service Pack 2, but I had to install it in order to get the drivers that were apparently embedded in the service pack download for my MP3 player. I would rather not have to choose between the MP3 player and being able to play DVD's on my computer. Any ideas on how to make PowerDVD work with service pack 2?
