I have been using VirtualDub-MPEG2 (1.5.10 Build 18250) for quite some time now, and I have not, until a recent problem, even considered a new editor.
So, I would like a few opinions about a good replacement.
I currently rip DVD's with DVD Decrypter, and create Avi Synth scripts with AviSynth 2.5 anf DGIndex 1.1.0.
I open the AviSynth and parsed .wav file to clip scenes from mainstream movies. i would like to find the most efficient way to do this, without loosing the quality. I compress into .avi with a high bitrate Divx compressor to make high quality clips.
A recent problem that resolved itself lead me try VirtualDub 1.6.11 (Build 23774), and it did not look too bad.
So, with the process I am using, can this new VirtualDub do the job, or can I change my process to make it better, stronger, more efficient. We have the technology, but I don't know what is best.
Any help will be appreciated.
