transcoding Quicktime MOV to wav or mp3?

is there any batch command-line tool that will let you transcode Quicktime MOV's to wav or mp3? I believe that besweet doesn't handle it, unless I am doing something wrong?

By the way.... do you know what sort of streams are in your MOV files?

Some of the streams can be extracted using third party tools!
