I have an ending credits sequence that i'm trying to inverse telecine.
The original film source, as telecined, follows telecine 3:2 standards, so when I run IVTC, the original motion displays as it would if it were directly shown off of the film (theaters). However, text was added using video editing equipment. When I do the IVTC, the film content is restored to it's original 24fps motion, but the text gets jaggied when changing to the next lines of text.
When I de-interlace the text changeovering after the IVTC, I get the infamous 'stairsteps' effect.
Do I need to just de-interlace/interpolate then remove the pulldown frames myself, or should I just forget about it altogether?
