Um...heres what's happening.
I have some episodes of Lost(45 Min) on my PC and i'm trying to convert them to a smaller filesize and only lose a bit of quality. i'm trying to bring them down to 200/250 megs from 350, so as to be able to burn more to a dvd for my dstandalone player. The first pass works perfectly(~20/30 fps), but after that if i try to play the file or do the second pass, it completely crashes. am i doing the right process??
The way i did it was this:
I'd open up the source file,
go into xvid settings,
change the encoding type to Twopass - 1st pass.
Then it'd encode.
After that, I'd open up the 1st pass file,
and open xvid settings, and change the encoding type to 2nd pass
and after that, the program would crash. I can't do twopass with divx either. I don't know what's going on! Please help!
Is there something i' missing?
P.S. Also, if i try to open the file in WMPlayer or winamp, they both crash when trying to access the file.
Other Settings:
AS@L5
Quantizer: H.263
Max Consecutive BVOPS: 2
Quantizer ratio:1.5
Quantizer offset: 1.0
Packed bitstream enabled.
Adaptive Quantization,Interlaced Encoding,Quarter Pixel, and Global Motion Compensation are all disabled.
Thanks(in advance) for your help.
