Hi there!
First of all, I apologize for this question, after being in this board for a while, I should not ask this...or I should know it… :o but after using „search“ properly and reading all the respective guides I dind’t find what I am looking for... I’m sorry.
I’m trying to make a backup of LOTR The Two Towers with my own subs, in order to win space and time, I want to demux the files directly from the disc and prepare them for DVD Authoring (IfoEdit). I usually do it with VobEdit after ripping. This time I tried DVD Decrypter in Stream Processing mode. I’ve tried to demux all the DVD streams (video, 2 ac3 and 3 sup) but I’ve only got a segmented m2v files (one from every VOB) and the rest, just VOB files... so, that’s the supossed way that DVD Decrypter does the job. Is it possible to get separatelly the ac3 and sup files and only one m2v using DVD Decrypter?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings!

Hi!

Settings>>IFO Mode Set "File Splitting" to "None"

Select "DeMux"

You should be able to identify the TRUE format of the files created with .VOB extenders based on their size - The subtitles should be tiny files, while the audio files should be in the 100s of Mb. Change the extenders as is appropriate (.AC3, etc.)

Thanks setarip_old!!
I did your suggestion, now I got a m2v file in one piece, but the rest (ac3 and sup) inside one VOB file... and I need them saparated.
Some more suggestions?
I want to backup only the film, should I ripp in File mode or in Ifo mode?

and I need them saparated. Some more suggestions?

Do each rip separately - once with the audiostream as the only item selected and once for the subpicture/subtitle stream as the only item selected...

I want to backup only the film, should I ripp in File mode or in Ifo mode?

Do you intend to make a DVD copy or convert it to another format?

Well... I'm really sorry setarip_old... I did't realize that I have to select "demux" in every stream! :o , then I get all the files I need.
Do you intend to make a DVD copy or convert it to another format?
Just DVD backup with my own subs.
Thanks!
