That's hardly a helpful comment. (Then again, neither is mine, aside from pointing out that this forum's "netiquette" doesn't condone posting for the sake of posting.)

I'm also trying to use AutoGK with DivX Pro 6.03, and as soon as I select DivX on the advanced options page, it says "Unsupported version of DivX is found. XviD will be used instead."

What gives? I thought the newest AutoGK was supposed to be compatible with DivX 6.

Keep in mind the "newest version" at the time was not 6.03. AutoGK has ceased development, so if something newer is not supported, it'll remain that way.

It doesn't support the HE-3 codec as well.

What's the last version of DivX 6 that works with AutoGK, and can it still be downloaded from somewhere?

Mr2001, with Divx6.02 works fine, with 6.03 not

Well for me the only Divx 6 version that is working is 6.0.0.1571

It has to do with the registry settings. DivX 5 used separate registry entries for each option. DivX 6 switched to using a single key with the CLI string in it to set the options. The key is named after the BUILD name.

The registry key is HKCU\Software\DivXNetworks\DivX4Windows\State

DivX 6 used the value "b1571-CenterOfTheSun " as the name of the value, while DivX 6.03 uses "b1697-ThermonuclearFusion".

In order for AutoGK to be able to work with DivX 6.03 it needs to put the settings into the right key (the right key to use is the (Default) value of the State key).

It should be a very simple fix for the developer to make. Just read the (Default) key to get the name of the key to use to set the settings.

If only developer was developing it :)

Since AutoGK won't work with DivX 6.03 any time in the (near) future, does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade to 6.0?

Hi All,

Regarding AutoGK & DivX 6.03 support...

I tried the RegEdit fix and it is not working :-(

Is there a way to fix this ???

len0x I know that the development has stopped but I think that you are the best person to help :-)

AutoGK is the best software out there, it is a drug, we need it !!!!!! ;-)

Regards,
