Hi.

I have DVB-S SkyStar2 card and progDVB for watching. Here is problem:

ProgDVB recording... hmm... to me, it seems bad.
Are there any settings, plug-ins or anything else, that i can do better recording with progDVB?
Till now, i used default settings given with instalation, but i found under Settings/Audio and Video/DirectShow
and
Settings/Audio and Video/Timeshift Buffer
some settings. I tried couple of different settings but nothing seems to be better then "default". Or it could be better/is better but i just didn't see it? :)
Can anyone give me some hints how to set-up all this for best recording.

I come up with another question.
Is recording with DVB-S "PDTV" recording?
Thanks for your answers.

Hi,

ProgDVB is not the best application for recording, I would recommend you to use RitzDVB or DVBDream instead.

It is important what codecs, filters you use too, I use NVidia mpeg2 decoder that is included in a package called mpeg2_decoders.v2.02, and a graph file specific for this filter. It is less CPU intensive.
