View Full Version : Overcoming Sound Glitch in Rip

Hi all,

In a rip I did, there's a problem with the sound after the 19th minute - there were bad sectors on the DVD (scratched :() and so up to that point, the sound is in sync, but when a few frames are skipped due to the scratched disc, the sound becomes out of sync by about half a second, and remains that way for the rest of the film.

The question is, can I overcome this by ripping in two parts, and then join them together? Is there a better way to do it?

I'm using DVD Decrypter and AutoGK.

Many thanks,

B

Have you tried re-reipping the DVD to your hard drive?

Yes, scratches on the disc mean that it always fails to read a certain group of sectors :(. That's what accounts for the missing frames, and thus the audio not syncing after that point.
