Hi,
I've been using Dvd2svcd and CEE for years and never had a problem. It's been a few month now I haven't used them and had to uninstall them and even made a reinstalation of OS in between. Now I need them back so I installed them again...Windows XP, Dvd2svcd 1.2.3 build 1 and CEE Basic 2.70.01.04.
Programs start as good as usually, extracting audio...bla, bla...and then, when tries to loads CEE this error comes up

..../AviSynth_Scripe_file.avs is not a ECL for Cinema Craft Encoder Basic

and then the tipical "CEE encountered a problem....

The problem happens with and without EclCCE 1.81, so I can't figure out what's causing it...also tried google it but no luck.

Please, I need some help. Thanks.

Note: I think the problem is that Dvd2svcd is not creating a file with extension .ecl, anyone knows why that file hasn't been created after the first steps...Thanks for your help.

Well, looks like it was a incompatibility problem between Dvd2svcd and CEE Basic 2.70. The problem goes away with CEE Basic 2.67 and 2.69.

But know something else is happening. First have to say that what I'm trying to do is a conversion from NTSC to PAL, DVD to DVD. After the subs are extracted and the audio extracted and converted, CEE window appears once and you can read in the D2SRoBA "Detected a CEE encode window", creates the CEE_Project_file.ecl file and the CEE window disappears, and a message in D2SRoBA saying "Detected the movie encode window-shutting down", but never does. After few hours nothing changes so tried to exit D2SRoBA but another message window says that Dvd2svcd is active. After that I exit the program anyway, but anyone knows why that is happening and how I can fix it?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I don't think CCE basic was ever supported by DVD2DVD. CCE SP upto and including v2.67 & eclcce are required.

If you're talking about the program DVD2DVD I agree with you, but what I meant is the option in the Misc tag in Dvd2svcd, imput file type is DVD and output file type is also DVD, sorry for the misunderstanding.

And with CEE Basic you don't need eclcce. I've tried CEE Basic 2.67.1.19, CCE Basic 2.69.1.9 and CEE Basic 2.69.1.10 with eclcce and when it's time to load CEE window a message pups up and says "unable to find CEE window".
But anyway, thanks for the tip and for your help.

I also mean the program DVD2SVCD, I use the term 'DVD2DVD' when it is configured for DVD input and DVD output. To my knowledge it doesn't (and never has) supported CCE Basic. Eclcce must be used along with CCE SP.

Bob

Ok, thanks, but I've done a test before, without selecting rip subs and just 1 audio and the conversion was done, except for the last step with CEE, authoring with DVDAuthor to make a VIDEO_TS folder with all VOB, IFO & BUP files needed, where CEE stopped and I had to hit encoder by myself, maybe that's proof why it isn't supported. Right now I'm doing a new test and I'll let you know what the results are.

Thanks for your comments and your help.

Well, looks like I have to look for other way to convert NTSC to PAL with CEE as CEE SP is too expensive for me and the trial version is an update to the original, £1000 is a lot of money for me...

Anyway, Thanks for your help.
