Wasnt reallt sure which forum so.

Anywho. I have a video Ive been working on in Premier Pro. If i scrub through the video within premier it plays back fine with all scene transition effects etc.

Yet if I export the movie the audio and video seem to be out of sync. I've tried exporting the audio and video separately then muxing. Same.

I've made sure everything is rendered before I export.

I have no idea why it all syncs fine in Premeier but doesnt once exported? Any ideas?

Thanks fellas

you're not editing mpeg-2 are you? there's ...problems with most mpeg-2 in premiere. it'll report wrong lengths, mess up frame ordering (b-frames will appear in the wrong places after edits), or just not import properly. a workaround is to make an avs file that refers to the mpeg-2 file, then edit that (you'll need DGindex and avisynth installed, plus the premiere avs plugin. all this is free of course :))

if you're not editing mpeg-2 then i haven't the faintest idea what the problem is.

btw, the forum these questions should go to is the NLE (nonlinear editing) forum :)

Why don't you upload it to badongo?

Ok guys. I worked out that if I export to AVI using the MainConcept DV Codec is the only time it sysncs wrong. If I export using Microsoft DV Avi everything is fine.. While I dont understand why and would prefer to use the MainConcept Codec I guess its a temporary fix.
