hope this is the right form? :confused: i have several 80mb avi files that i'm trying to convert and burn to a dvd. i'v converted them with tmpgenc.convermovie.dvdsanta.and vso divx to dvd. they all converted and i burned the files to dvd. but i get very bad quality. so my question is am i trying to do something that can't be done or am i doing it wrong? i'v converted them to 720x480 4400 and 4800 khx and 16:9 and 4:3 and they all come out bad quality. is there a guide i can use to do this. thanks for any and all help.:confused:

MPEG2 require lots of bitrate, like 4mbps. Can you give more infos on the source and the settings you used?

The size is 352x192, so you can't make high quality dvd of that. I would try to convert it to 352x288 (which is a valid dvd resolution).
I got the impression it is downloaded stuff. If this is indeed the case we can't help you further.
