Changes in DivX Converter 6.0.3 :

New:
- Now supports Motion JPEG input (MJPEG)
- Includes Converter version number (CTRL+ALT+A)
Fixed:
- Bug where the subtitle interleaving was incorrect
- Error in the creation of a DivX Media File that would show an "out of hard drive space" error
- Issues on foreign operating systems with doublebyte characters
- Several small localization bugs

Changes in DivX Codec 6.0.3 :

Fixed:
- Windows Explorer should now show thumbnails for DivX AVI files.
- The encoder now reports 24-bits per pixel similar to DivX 5 for compatibility with various applications.
- The DivX VFW decoder now has improved post-processing defaults and custom settings. Post-processing for the VFW decoder is disabled when it is set to 'Off' in the decoder configuration utility, set to full deblocking when 'Automatic Deblocking' is enabled, and set to full deblock + full dering when 'Fully Automatic' is enabled. Custom post-processing settings are also respected.
- The DivX DirectShow decoder now respects custom post-processing settings.
- When the DivX Settings Manager (DivXSM.exe) is not registered, the DirectShow decoder now uses full deblocking, no deringing, Generic MPEG-4 support and no logo overlay by default.
- The DivX decoder no longer executes an SSE instruction in an MMX routine that caused undesirable behavior on older processors.
- DivX 3 playback no longer fails when 'Use advanced hardware overlay' is enabled in the Decoder Configuration Utility.
- The DivX Settings Manager is no longer loaded when DirectShow attempts to connect the DivX decoder filter if the connection is ultimately rejected.
- Windows Media Player should no longer search online for codecs when all necessary codecs are already available.
- The DivX Pro trial dialogs will now allow you to activate any DivX product with a valid serial number.
- Serial number dialogs now strip invalid characters.
- Serial number dialogs now accept lower-case characters.

The problem is DXN don't care about AutoGK like applications, if they don't stop to break AutoGK like applications with every damn build I'll much likely remove DivX support from my DVX/StaxRip (soon coming ;), maybe that's what they want.

Why do you make such assertions? We do care about your applications, and in fact based on some prior feedback in the 6.0 release we actually implemented a special method to enable interaction with this and future versions of the codec, despite the fact that typically we see this done through the registry instead of an officially supported interface. We put this method both in the 6.0.3 codec, and in the He-3 beta codec.

Sorry about the comment, I think I saw your "special method" and upated StaxRip. I'd like to wait releasing the first StaxRip release until .NET 2.0 final ships next month. Until then I've some time to work on some new formats, x264 and MP4 support is completed, if you can provide some links maybe I can add the new DivX container as well.

Guys, DivX 6.03 don't work with newest AutoGK 2.20. AutoGK show message " Not supported codec". What can I do?

It works with Avi.net interesting thing thou it does'nt seem to adhere to avi.nets's size setting. When you go to options avi.net recommends a size, Divx seems to have it's own mind thou. I left the size to create a 405 mb file and Divx made a 287mb file, the file did look great thou. Should this happen?

It might happen if you reach Q1 during encoding. That may be likely if your file is low resolution and/or your bitrate is very high. It may also happen if the encoder is frequently constrained by the DivX Certified profile you have selected.

To be honest, ignore the size avi.NET picks for you, this is just a 'starting point', mainly for little clips, pop video's e.t.c., for a 'proper' movie pick a predifined size, 700, 896, 1120 and so on. 405mb is just a strange size to pick.......

What was the resolution chosen and QF ???
