Hi! I'm ripping my hair out. I need to combine 3 mini-dvd's, 1.4g each. Here's what I've been through, I've tried each of these methods on 3 different XP machines:

- Ulead Video Studio 9 - Output's audio is out of sync
- TMpegEnc: Tells me the audio format is unsupported
- Nerovision 3 - Output's audio is out of sync.
- Pinnacle Media Studio 9 - Output's audio is out of sync
- Cyberlink Power Director 4 - Output's audio is out of sync
- DVDShrink - Output is perfect! No options for DVD menus.
- ULead Movie Factory: Won't read .vob files
- Nandub - Won't read .vob files, has no authoring capability
- Xilisoft 'anything'. None of their products author DVD's.

All I need to do is add a series of .VOB files to a DVD and create a menu. Nothing I've tried has worked or even come close. Is there such softare that actually works?

Thanks!

Try TMPGEnc DVD Author. It offers a full feature, free 30 day trial.

TMPGEnc DVD Author allows you to import DVD video from multiple discs and then create your own menus. It will not re-encode your video so you will preserve full quality.

Edit: Above you wrote TMPEnc. I'm assuming you mean the encoder, DVD Author accepts all valid audio formats: ac3, lpcm, mp2. (Unless there is something wrong with your dvds).

What audio format are your DVDs? You can open the DVD in IfoEdit to check.

Hi!

DVDShrink - Output is perfect! No options for DVD menus.

Load this successful output into "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (referred to by "Video Dude") and easily create a menu and save your now-complete DVD...

Perhaps it was the editor and not the Author. However, I managed to create a menu'd DVD, all in sync, with DVD-Lab Pro. Seamless and effortlessly. What a pain that was.

Thanks for the replies...

Well, next time you need to do something like this - try DvdReMake (or Pro if you need to merge more then 2 disks). It is a one-click procedure. ;)
