View Full Version : QuEnc and Invalid Floating Point error

I'm getting an Invalid Floating Point Operation error when DVD2SVCD tries to convert an AVI to SVCD using QuEnc. I get this error on two different machines using the latest versions of all the software installed by DVD2SVCD. And I've tried various versions of QuEnc, including 0.51, 0.54 and 0.60. This works perfectly if I fall back to VCD and therefore don't use QuEnc. Also, I can launch QuEnc manually and convert the AVI just fine. Therefore I assumed that it's a problem with the configuration settings that DVD2SVCD uses for QuEnc, so I tried tweaking as many of the settings as I could but I wasn't successful. Also, I've tried this on several (5-6) different AVIs and they all get this error.

I've been searching through this forum and anywhere else I could on the web and can't find anyone else that has this problem. I'm stumped and would appreciate someone's help. Thanks.

Here is my log:

Try the new build with QuEnc 0.61.
If it still fails, post back with new log.

Cheers

Nick, I checked the version and I was already at 0.61. Sorry for the confusion. I had forgot that I moved up to that version last week.

Try again with the new DVD2SVCD! Should be FiXED!

Dang, still no joy. I'm using 1.2.3 build 1 with QuEnc 0.61, and I get the same floating point error. Here's the log. Anything else I can send to help you debug?

Maybe I should try uninstalling first. I'll give that a shot.

Nope. I uninstalled DVD2SVCD and Avisynth, reinstalled everything, and I still get the error. I'm stumped. I'm sure this works for everyone else. What the heck am I doing wrong? I'm not changing any defaults.

Unfortunately, your second log is of a conversion of copyrighted material downloaded illegally from the internet.

I'm afraid these forums will not help out with the processing of such material. However, I shall attempt to replicate your error and if I find any bug I shall report it to the author.
