Scenarist freezes after hitting "New from Script"

I am on a fresh install of Winxp and all software. When I run Scenarist and click on the "New from Script" button, Scenarist just disappears. It is still running because when I check Processes in Windows Task Manager, it shows scenarist.exe using 99% CPU. But Scenarist never pops up again for me to load the Scenaid script. Any idea as to how to fix this?

Did you install other IDE drivers than the standard XP ones ? It's known to not work correctly with other IDE drivers.

I installed the NForce IDE drivers. Should I uninstall them and go back to Winxp's drivers for IDE?

Yes. The NForce IDE drivers are causing this problem.
Install instead the Standard IDE drivers from Windows XP.
