As an experiment, I created a DivX-compressed .AVI containing both .AC3 (default) and .MP3 (secondary) audiostreams and burned to DVD.
The burned DVD played properly under Windows Media Player - and I was able to successfully switch back and forth between the two audiostreams at will.
However, when I played the burned DVD on my Philips DVP642/37, I could only successfully switch once, from .AC3 to .MP3. If I then switched back to the .AC3 audiostream, all I heard was a series of clicks. I could however, then successfully switch back to the .MP3 audiostream.
Any ideas as to why the .AC3 stream does not behave properly after the first switch?
