Hello,
This is the first post that I am making into this forum.
I would like to know is there any mpeg4 video elementary stream player currently available. I have gone through the threads and faq in this forum and couldn't find any. I could find many players which supports avi and mp4 format. If there is no player currently available I would like to develop one for the xvid decoder and encoder.
Can I play the elementary stream using avisynth and virtualdub?.
I pefer to use python scripts for doing this. Pyhon has got a directshow back end for mpeg1 and mpeg2 elementary streams. But I guess it doesn't support mp4v stream. Would like to have expert opinion regarding this.
Last question. I have installed Koepi's binary for xvid codec. Does it support elementary stream playback using Windows media or VLC?
By the way I came to know that VLC can support elementary stream play back if I use it via command line. I still prefer to develop a python based GUI for xvid codec.
