I created vob files from 2 dvd recorders (iLo & LiteOn) and they created different audio streams and I edited out the commercials with videoredo (which did not change the original audio structure on either file)

Reported Streams in videoredo:

iLo: Ac3 (x80) Channels 2.0 384Kbps 48000Hz
LiteOn: Xc0 Layer 2 256Kbps 48000Hz

When I try to TMPGenc DVD Author these they are not compatable for use on the same DVD compilation
I ran these thru TMPGenc and the mpg output has no sound (long process and doulbled the file size)
How can I remedy this to create my DVD's with different recordings? I did change the Kbps settings to 384Kbps and 256Kbps when re-encoding with no results
As to note the iLo worked fine for about 2 weeks before having problems (I actually went thru 2 of them) - The LiteOn has been a steady performer so far.

Use "Add new track" for each of the sets of .VOBs - and "TMPGEnc DVD Author" will generate a DVD "package" of two titles...
