How to predict audio file size ?

How do you guys predict the size of the audio when encoding XviD 2 passes in VD/AviSynth ?

Is just a guess ?

If you decide to generate your audio encodes at a "constant bit-rate" (aka: CBR), it's possible to work out their finished file size (in MB) mathmatically.

All you need to know is the duration of the audio source (in seconds) and the bit-rate you want to use for your encode (in Kbps).

For example, if you decide to encoded a 3 min 45 sec source encoded at 128Kbps it could be worked out like this: -

128Kbps x 225 secs = 28,800 divided by 8 = 3,600 divided by 1024 = 3.51MB
