So I tried to join 2 AVI (xvid) videos in virtualdub (by the way, why the heck do people keep splitting files into VCD sizes anyways? Is there a video card in existence anymore that doesn't have svideo or composite out? Honestly. Rant over). So I open my video file in VirtualDub and then go to File -> Append AVI Segment (very odd way for merging by the way) and then let it do its thing. 98 gigabytes. I kid you not. The two original files are like 1.4 or 1.5 gigabytes combined. What is going on here?

Thanks.

Never mind, EO Video did the job no problem.

You failed to set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"

why the heck do people keep splitting files into VCD sizes anyways?

Sounds like you're downloading other people's work efforts. Sometimes, "you get what you pay for"...
