Can't encode into 120fps

I am trying to encode my videos into 120fps. I've done everything that's been recomended except that I can't get avi60gui to work. I''ve gotten up to that point with avisynth 2.08 installed. Is there anything I can do? I followed the instruction on this page:

you could always try a VFR mkv file instead of 120fps (which is essentially a hacky VFR avi).

there's some avisynth filters for that - i think there's a version of "dup" that outputs an mkv timecode file that can be used to generate a vfr file.

why have 120fps ?

Because it allows you to place 24fps/30fps content into .avi. Search on here for an exclamation — I found it on here and know how it works because of it, so...

I've always thought it was quite a clever idea myself ^^;;

Could you tell me where *exactly* are you stuck? I guess you did step 1 and 2? In what sense doesn't avi60gui work?

This reminds me.... There's a guy over on the Sigma forum (http://www.sigmadesigns.com/dcforum/DCForumID7/949.html), who does this and wanted to know if the Xcard could support the implementation

Do you use "null" frames to achieve this?

I'm more curious as to how one would go about finding the 30/24p sections in a 120fps stream. :)

I believe I've seen the method shown here before, but I can't find the damn thread...

TDecimate mode 4/5. The mkvout will list the 24/30 segments by timecode.
