Hello All
I just got a new motherboard (ASROCK Dual Sata 2 939) and it has an AGP slot. It states that I shouldnt use a 3.5Volt AGP card or i could do damage to my system.
The card (which I just got from my mate) Is a PNY 'Verto' 8X AGP with the GEFORCE 4 MX440 Chipset, with 64mb DDR and TV-OUT. the full name on the back of the card is 'VERTO GF4 MX440AGP8X 64MB DDR"/
Can anyone tell me if this is a 3.5v card? Ive been to the PNY web site but dosent have any info.
Thanks a million, I just got this Mboard and an AMD 3700+ 2.2GHZ san deigo core CPU, can't wait to set it up!! :D

it _may_ say on the card somewhere, maybe around some of the jumpers (if there are any).
i've tried googling for hardware before, and it ain't fun. it's amazing how many high-tech manufacturers don't actually have websites...

3.5V AGP is the old "AGP PRO"
unless it says AGP PRO it shouldn't be a 3.5V
atleast thats my understanding of it
and my A+ book didn't say anything about it so GL mate

errr somehow the "IIRC" got lost on my first line
I'm 99% sure thats what it is, seeing as how it it was specificly mentioned not to use 3.5 makes me more sure, maybe check nvidia homepage first? if you hadn't else try and cross your fingers

You can't put a 3.5V card into a 1.5V slot anyways. So you're safe, unless you're like that moron who sawed off part of his PCI-E 7800 to get it into a AGP slot. "OMFG it doesn't work!" Indeed.
