This is subjective I know, so I'll get a strike again (rule 12 :) ) but I know there is a general consensus on the topic that doing 3 passes is enough, and more is overkill.
Just using filters I surely want time to a minimum.
Cause I'm experimenting with matrices and filters 3 computers run 24 hours a day for a few days...., DVD-RB-PRO in low priority mode, so I can get a first impression of the results already ready with POWER-DVD.
By the way running DVD-RB in low priority is a real nice job, done with the help of a few people with good tips.
While doing to long and CPU-eating DVD-RB_PRO tasks in the past te computer could not be used for other things, because it didn't respond (not within reasonble tiome at least).
Now I can even play VIDEO on it while DVD-RB-PRO uses remaining CPU power.
But that's not the main point here. It's time used.
I have restarted batch jobs with 2.67 encoder CCE SP, as I saw it created VBR VAF files, that 2.66 didn't (see other post on this).
But now I can wait 3-4 days for some BATCHES to finisch.
And then passes came into my mind.
Generally most people say 3 passes will do the job and a fourth doens't add really something visible....
So knowing this, I was asking myself if these three passes were VAF pass included, so 2 pass M2V remaining and DVD-RB set to 3 passes, or 3 paases M2V, which should result in 4 passes in DVD-RB set.
Anybody ????
Please don't discuss it if you don't agree with "3 passes should be enough"" point of view.
I only want to know if ment are 3 passes total (including VAF-PASS) or M2V (DVD-RB set to 4 passes, 1 for VAF).
Thanks a lot..
