How can I install x264 vfw ONLY?

The x264 vfw on Doom9 install the mencoder compulsory. Since I don't want to install .Net(till now, I just can't see any reason to install that M$ thing), mencoder is not my cup of tea. I prefer to play around with GK. So how can I install the x264 vfw only?

Well, the full pack by Sharktooth installs VFW and the mencoder stuff, but you can safely use just the VFW-stuff without .net

I haven't use the newest version, but for the older ones you just need to run the x264VFW.exe file and then the codec will be installed and can be used like any other VFW codec.

Or just download the lite pack -> extract the files into a folder -> right click on the .inf file -> install
