Hi!

first time here and big thank you to doom9 and the gang for these forums. i am sure that a lot of you guys here have been frustrated by sony's psp.

alright now i am dead sure that there is a way to feed vob files directly to sony's image converter 2 plus w/o encoding it to avi first. sony just made it look impossible. there is nothing illegal about converting non-copyrighted vob files to avc mp4.. sony just gets its panties in a bunch every once in a while.
psp video 9 sucks... the ffmpeg encoder desyncs almost all audio and Nero Recode only encodes MP4 ASP... so sticking with IC2+.

i have tried the n00b way of changing file extensions of vob files to "mp2" and such but didnt work out. I have read there is a tricky way of feeding .vob to IC2+ but i am stuck there.

thanks in advance.

to answer my own question.... just rename the vob extension to mpg.... cheers!!

strangely enough i had tried tht in the past but on my other computer renaming to mpg didnt work.... maybe some plug-in issue.

there you go people high quality straight from dvd avc mp4s for your shiny li'l psp. no audio sync issues no cheap user interface... and great video quality... image converter triumphs over psp video 9.
