Record audio from tv?

I have been told there is a cd device that will plug directly into the audio out of your tv set and record just the audio to a cd..? Anyone have any ideas> I spend a lot of time driving and listening to movies and comedies would be great for me. Cheers guys. Steve.

I don't think you can record audio directly to a CD like you can to a cassette tape - you can use any .wav editing program to record and burn that directly to CD. I used to use my video capture card to record a radio program that aired while I was at work; I'd then demux the audio to .wav, save it in sections and burn it to CD, which would give me the track selection.
