Hello all

I have been using cce 2.5 for a while but I’m thinking of upgrading to 2.7. Now there’s no way that I can justify 2000$ for SP so I’m trying cce basic 2.70. Trial. Now I can’t seem to get RB to find the path for that encoder. I have ticked under options “cce basic” and that fails, I have also run the cce config utility so that dvd-rb can find the path but it never sees it when the encoding begins. I also tried reinstalling dvd-rb to set it up fresh but no luck ether. There must be something that I’m missed.

Heres the log if it helps

Go to OPTIONS/SETUP in RB and set the path to the folder where CCE Basic is located - first item in the list of encoders, etc. Works for me.
Actually when I installed the latest RB (Pro 1.01), when it went to the second part of the installation where it looks for a CCE version, RB found the CCE Basic folder automatically for me - think that was the first version of RB that I didn't have to manually direct it to the folder. I always completely uninstall RB before installing a new version.

That's what I have been doing but it fails, It dose point to it but it then tells me at the encobing phase of dvd-rb that theres no path to it.

Start -> DVD Rebuilder Pro -> Extras (Addons)-> CCE & ProCoder - Configuration

re-run that and tell it you want 2.70 trial, it should do the trick as your issue sounds simular to a prob i was having, and that cured it

"failed to find and run encoder. path may be incorrect. aborted"

I bet he has to have it set to CCE Trial and then have that one line in the rebuilder.ini [options] section.

;Cinema Craft Encoder Trial Version ECL

or some such thing. I cant remember the exact line.

The pb with the trial ver of CCE Basic is it will only encoder 3 min of video which is about 4300 frames.... any segment over 4300 frames will not encoder fully and you will get an error from dvd-rb.

So I don't get to try before I buy, that both blows and sucks!

Thanks friends :thanks:

I thought all it did was put that CCE logo on the video stream...

That's true of the SP Trial, but not the Basic Trial. It has an encode limit.

@ jptheripper

cct2.exe is the proper executable for CCE Basic.
