View Full Version : DVDFab v0.17.1 after "Analyze" crash

Hi all,

I am trying to use DVDFab to split a DVD-9 to 2 DVD-R. I ripped the DVD-9 into a folder using DVD Encrypter and tested the results using PowerDVD and everything plays just fine.

I run DVDFab v0.17.1 select "Copy Main Movie from DVD (Strip/Split)" from "Main Functions" then I choose the proper source and destination paths. At the main screen I click the "Analyze" button to get the proper total size of the original DVD. The program starts analyzing the title sets... after it finishes with the last title set, the program crashes (illegal operation, page fault, etc... depending on the operating system).

I have tried this on 3 different computers with 3 different operating systems (XP, 2K, 98se) and with different ripped DVDs. I know for a fact that I used this program about a year ago to do a split because I still have the disks complete with the custom "Insert Disk 2" screens that I made.

BTW, the 98se attempt was a fresh "clean" install that I did just to try to solve this problem (so it has nothing else on it at all).

This is driving me crazy, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you tried selecting "Copy Complete DVD" instead? This mode will automatically determine where to split the DVD...

This happens occasionally - especially with modified .IFOs that haven't been thoroughly "cleaned up" - Rips of "ARccOS"-protected DVDs, particularly, come to mind.

Try "Copy Complete DVD" with several different DVDs...
