View Full Version : Compiled movies are immovable/unrenamable

OK this is weird, and it only happens when I use Gordian Knot.

When I'm finished compiling a movie, I have a nice OGM file and everything's peachy. However, I can't change/name/move my new OGM because I get the error that "Windows cannot rename/move/whatever because this file is in use."

And the file is most definitely not in use. I can reboot, even reboot into safe mode, and I get the error. I'm going to have to boot freakin dos or something. I'm guessing some sort of flag has been written into the file that needs to be switched back to 0.

So does anyone know what's up? Is there a way to close something that Gordian uses so I can free up the file and move it or delete it? I can't touch the thing. But I can watch it just fine.

Thanks

right click on your task bar, choose task manager. under processes see if there if any residual things there that might be holding on to your file. most of the time you can find something that hasn't been cleared out of memory.

You can use Process Explorer to find out which processes have open handles to the file and to forcibly close the handles.
