Hi all.

The other day I tried to make a copy of a disk before the kids love it to death.

DVD Shrink failed to decode stating that it found an error in the decoding. I tried several times with the same result...Nada!

I then tried DVD Decrypt and after several attempts I got the lot decrypted to the total size of 7.4 Gig size, or there abouts. The Decrypt'd files were by way of .ISO files saved on the HD.

My problem now is how can I get DVD Shrink to recognise the ISO files on my HD so that I can shrink them?

Is there a way to over come this problem, if so, how?

Regards

you may have to use daemon tools to load the ISO to create a virtual DVD drive on your HD

No, all you have to do is as setarip_old said.

Go to file at the top of DVD Shrink, click File scroll down to "Open Disc Image" tick that option, then find the ISO and open it.

No need for a Virtual Drive with Shrink.

What is the name of the movie BTW?

It may be one of the movies with the newer protection schemes which DVD Shrink cannot rip without assistance.

BTW, I have kids and I know what you mean by 'the kids love it to death'.

Let us know if it works out for you.

Regards,:)

Hi guys.

I will have to rip it again by DVD Decrypt as I foolishly deleted it. Ah well, it is only time that we are killing

The movies is one of the early Battle Star Galactica series.

I will let you know how I went.

Regards.

Thanks guys.

The resurrection went well.

I appreciate the step by step explaination because at times I am not as quick at picking things up as I would like to be, as was in this case.

Regards :thanks:
