Hi,
I created a disk with BOVs (with PgcEdit). The disk works fine on my computer. It doesn't matter whether I use Ulead DVD Player, the IFOedit DVD player, or PgcEdit on Trace mode. It makes no difference whether I access the VIDEO_TS folder frome my DVD drive, or directly from my hard drive.

However, when I play the disk on my stand alone player (Sony DVP-NS575P), nothing happen when I try and activate the BOVs.

My project is as follows: Two versions of the same movie (Full Screen and Wide Screen) in the same VTS (Title 1 and Title 2). There's only one button per PG (Jump to TTN 2, Chapter 3, for instance). The button is automatically highlighted, but not activated, so I have to hit "enter" to jump to the corresponding chapter of the other version.

I've tried different settings: number of buttons per PG, change the adjacent buttons, the buttons positions, change the Cmd, change the advanced settings. Basically, just about every setting that makes sense works on my computer, none of them work on my stand alone player. When I press "1" on my remote, an icon appears on my TV screen and indicates that there is a BOV there. However, when I hit "enter", nothing happens. Before each time I burn the DVD-RW disk, I make sure to get the VTS sector with IFOedit.

Is this a common problem with stand alone players? Did I miss a step in my project?

Note: I have another disk which includes two Titles made of stills: every still is a PG and you jump from one another with BOVs containing the Cmd "LinkNextPG" or "LinkPrevPG". When you're on the last still of the first Title, the Cmd is "Jump to TTN 2 in this VTS". This disk works fine on my stand alone player.

Ok. I found a partial solution to my problem: a highlight subpicture is necessary for BOVs to work on a stand alone player. Using this wonderful guide here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=99306) (thanks to goonix!), I was able to mux a still subpicture using Muxman.

The remaining problem is that my source video is 23.976 fps with pulldown, so the resulting muxed VOB file is out of sync. I believe I would have the same problem with the DVD authoring function inlcuded in IFOEdit.

Does anyone know a method to mux subpictures, audio and 23.976 fps video with pulldown?
