Howdy -
Been having trouble lately, and have been relyling upon guides and FAQs to try to learn more. I've been using the guide for implementing DivX6 in GK (http://www.doom9.org/gknot-codecsetup-divx6.htm), but there's some things missing that I can't find out:
1) The guide says: Do no bother with the bitrate right now, but make a mental note that in DivX6, you currently have to set the bitrate manually at a later point.
But the rest of the guide doesn't say where the bitrate value is to be manually entered later on. Where do I change this?
2) The guide gives information on 1st pass, Nth pass, Credits pass, but not the Compressibility Check pass. Before, Len0x had mentioned to to a single-pass quality-based run at Quant=2. I'm really confused on this point, probably because of my ignorance. If I want to run a compressibility check for a movie encoded via bitrate-quality, why don't I set the check to bitrate-quality as well? Aren't the two modes trying to achieve different goals?
