Hi,
I've been using dvdrebuilder 0.95 free version on a z1 dvd (batman begins) as a solution to get the movie encoded keeping original vobs (after blanking unwanted stuff), while the dvd works well on windvd, when seeking manually the movie on MPC it just freezes or crash most part of the time, i tried using cce 2.5 and 2.7 with "one pass vbr" and multi pass, and got the same result, maybe it'll work well on a real player but i just think there's still something wrong (the uncompressed one works well on MPC as dvd maestro reauthored version), is there some settings to avoid this or something ?
Btw if there's a way to manually remux encoded cells the same dvdrebuilder do, then fix what needs to be fixed please let me know :)
Thanks

If it works fine with WinDVD then you should be ok, I use MediaPlayerClassic as well and it does crash occasionally when you try fast forwarding or manually seeking

Well i thinks it's not only mpc fault if there's a problem (in my case) so even if it plays with windvd there's still something wrong ^^

I don't think so. A simple burn to a $.30 DVD will show you... There are lots of reasons why video for DVD won't play correctly except on players that are specifically designed for DVDs.

i can understand standalone and software not working exactly the same, but i can't believe a "properly" done dvd not seeking properly in mpc, i've seen no original dvd nor encoded / reauthored with maestro not seeking properly ever, what i know from my use of mpc is that it's a bit stricter than windvd (as exemple i've seen some errors done in maestro working with windvd and hanging on mpc).
btw tested on xbox with no problem, i'll test on my bro standalone later

All software is suspect... including MPC (and DVD-RB for that matter). You can't make broad generalizations like that.

dunno if it means something but using ifoedit "vob extra" to rebuild a movie only dvd ("create new ifo files" option) makes it run ok, i tried without the "create new ifo ..." but it crashs the same
