Weird ProjectX Errors !> skipped sourceframe(s) @ 00:00:35.200

Howdy all,

I was using ProjectX 0.90.1.00 to prepare a mpeg stream i captured with my twinhan DVB-t card.

It demuxed the streams fine, it didn't detect any bad GOP, but once it is finished demuxing and it scans the AC3 audio, it tells me there is a bad frame every 5 seconds or so and replaces it.

The resulting AC3 files sounds ok cept that every 5~10 seconds there is 32ms of silence which amazingly is quite noticable.

I demuxed the same clip with pvastrumento and it didn't detect anything wrong at all but the AC3 audio was horribly garbled.

Finally, if i put the clip straight into DGDecode and demux the ac3 sounds perfect.

any suggestions?

Seems odd you have AC3 audio at 2/0 on an HD source. Run it through MPEG2Repair and try to demux the resulting file with ProjectX once again.

If nothing else works, try downgrading to ProjectX 0.8

Not really, its Channel 7 Australia, so there's nothing all that unusual about it being 2.0, not to mention 576p being called 'HD'. 7's AC3 audio encoder for my region was broken for months and kept cranking out bad packets, so its quite possible it was broken for him. I wouldn't use progdvb to do recordings anyway, there's better programs available for free.
