Hi all,

I'm trying to preview some matrices but everytime RME gives me a 'working path not valid' error when i press the preview button.

I've located the dvdrebuilder folder in the setup also the matrix folder and the default player. I'm using dvdrebuilderPRO RC6 and finished the prepare fase for a disc just like the RME readme says.

Does someone knows what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks ;)

That's not the problem, the link you gave me is about a MSSTDFMT.DLL error. As you can read in my post RME does work, only the preview function isn't..

I don’t advise you to use the latest Windows Media Player … it acts weird sometimes…
The above was from Rockas. So, you aren't using it are you?

On the other hand, I once had the same thing happen when I had 2 or 3 versions of RME on my computer.

I fixed it by totally deleting all RME components including DVD-RB Pro.
I then did a full reinstall of RB, not the small download but the approx.
5Mb full install version. Then I reinstalled the Rebuilder Matrix Editor, the latest is version 0.2.0.8 BTW. That took care of it.

Try that and check back in.

Regards,:)

P.S. Since you are going to install the Final version of RB Pro. it shouldn't be a big deal to Reinstall.

I'll be working on RME again... starting tomorrow... I think that errors comes from some kind of bug... I'll try to track it down.

@roux
What mode are you using?

Thanks for the reply’s.

@Feedback, i tried your solution but I’m still getting the same error. I was using windows mediaplayer as default player, and changed it to powerdvd but that did not help also.

@Rockas, I’m using cce mode in rebuilder.

I also would like to report a small bug I discovered. When opening RME for the first time you’ll need to select the paths in setup. But when you first select a different background color RME crashes with runtime error 76.

@roux
What OS, WinXP, 2000, etc., are you using?

You do have the path to your DVD-RB installation folder specified and not your actual "working path" don't you?

Yes, check what SpazzHH said.
There was some confusion on that point at one time, I believe.

No i use the path where the dvd-rb pro is located (c:\program files\dvd-rb pro). I've read somewhere that RME uses the ini file from dvd-rb to locate the working path.

This is getting really strange cause nobody seams to have this problem but me. I'm always keeping my pc very clean by reinstalling once in a while a ghost image. So i've actually never have problems with software.

hi all i'm newly registered and it's my first post here

I have got same problem as you "Roux" in RME : "working path not valid "
it came suddenly with RC6 and goes on with 1.01 after re-installing both ,cleaning all path ; even went back to an old date in XP : no success

I use HC 15 or 16 in 1 or 3 click ,full or movie only

Can this be caused by add-ons like rb_opt and/or rb keeper ? ; anyway
I removed them and no fixing

can you do something for us Rockas ? ;)

thanks

@Bag1881

About as far off topic and as bad a violation of Rule #5 as it gets... take it elsewhere.

I'm also getting this ""working Path" is not valid!" error message. Roux, did you ever find a resolution or are you waiting on a fix?

Rockas

I'm still working on that one... I gor many working folders from many users and I couldn't reproduce the problem yet... AAAAAAaaaaarrrrrrggggg!!!!

Odd, isn't it?
Can you guys give me all the possible info about the DVDs you are using?

roux

It's with all dvd's i tried. Maybe you could create a version which prints some debug information to a log file or system out so we can send you the information.
