Some details for a perfect MP4 creation?

Hi, first of all sorry for my english, I will try to explain my doubts clearly :)

I have a Transport Stream and I want to create a MP4 file, with AAC sound and x264 video. In fact, I know how to do this but exists some details that I can't resolve:

a) I open the TS file with DGIndex.
1. Is this the best option or is a better idea use a "mod" of DVD2AVI?
2. What is the best configuration to create the d2v file in this program? (video)
3. In the crop option, how I can crop the image in a smallest range? the program only alows me crop every 8 pixels, I only want crop 1 px right, and 1 px bottom.

b) Creating the AVS file:
1. What is the best software to do this? AutoGK, ARCalculator, other?
2. I want exactly a 1200 x 720 resolution and I want that the LAST file, multiplexed, has a determined size. How I can control it? I need some additional software?

c) About MEGui:
1. In a GUIDE of this site I read that the best extension for video is raw. I want compatibility with the future players, then is better use .mp4 or .raw??
2. I read some guides about x264 configuration, but in Megui the options of configuration for this codec are different! This settings are different and more extended that standar codec settings or the settings are the same but with a different name??? In the first case, somebody can say me where I can learn the best configuration or directly, some body can explain me it?
In the second case, somebody can explain me what is the equivalent configuration for this standar settings?: IMAGE

d) About subtitles:
1. what is the best format (compatibility) for subtitles?

And after this bible (lol) it is all. I know that some of this questions have other subforums to be answered but I think that is better put it in a single topic and this is the best place for it.

On the other hand, if someone of my questions is answered in other topics please say me it, I searched for this but I dont found answers for this questions.

a1: dgindex will read ts fine, in fact, several fixes and improvements to its core will read them better than any dvdtoavi mod.
2: Use honor pulldown flags unless dgindex reports nearly 100% film, in which case you can use force film. Demux audio if you wish.
3: Save the cropping for the avs file.

b: Does autogk create an avs file? I thought it kept everything internal. GK certainly does, though it's a pain to use. Most other programs give you values to plus into your avs rather than creating one. You can do just about anything you want in an avs without additional software, too. There are several barebones scripts on avisynth.org you can check out, depending on what kind of source you have. (film, tv/interlaced, progressive)

d: srt is the widest supported on pcs.

thanks for all, i'm reading it. Sorry for my noob question, but I don't understan the point 2. What is the 100% reporting that you say and how I can know whats mine for this ts?

furthermore, testing some things I found another problem. My TS has more than 50 fps, and it is excesive. How I can convert it to 25 fps film?

avc is normally placed in .mp4

d) About subtitles:
1. what is the best format (compatibility) for subtitles?the only standard subtitle format for .mp4 is mpeg-4 timed text, which you can create in .mp4 from a .srt input file with mp4box

Your TS has more than 50 fps? Is it 59.94? You can use Decimate, FDecimate, or TDecimate to convert it. Before that, you need to use a ivtc (like tfm) or deinterlacer (like tdeint) but I can't tell you which because I don't know what your source looks like. If it's a movie, probably the former, if it's a tv show, probably the latter. You won't be able to directly convert to 24 (film) or 25 (pal) if it's ntsc tv, in fact it would make no sense to convert to film.

Posting a chunk of source is the best way to get good help.

sorry, i couldn't answer before.

This is the link to a chunk of the ts font. I use elecard xmuxer to cut it and its very short (10 seconds or less) i hope that it will be ok.
