Dear all,

Firstly, many thanks to all of you for your guidance of the surrounding wav encoding.

I have spent one day to get all the six mono wav files ready as per the instruction listed in the forum and tried to encoding to DTS, but during the encoding I suffered the follows, how can I out of the trouble? pls give some advices!

(1) I edit a .mux file and use the latest version of Besweet + SurCode DVD DTS 1.023 to coding the DTS file but the final DTS file is much larger than I expect. After check, the duration of the each original wav file is 2:16:48.96 but the final DTS file's duration is more than 3 hours.

then

(2) I tried to use SurCode DVD DTS to encording the wav files directly, but the target DTS file is even biger, duration more than 4 hours!

What shall I do to conclude this problem?! Would appreciate your any suggestion!

TKS!

Hi

The DTS file size output by Surecode is always the same size
and is not the true size of the actual DTS track.

This always causes problems with dvd authoring software
like DVD-lab pro which will tell you that the final dvd will
be oversize and that the DTS track is longer in duration,
this is a warning you should ignore !

If you use a good bitrate calculater and enter 768kb/s in
the audio bitrate it will give you the true audio size in mb.

If you use the results from the bitrate calc to encode your
dvd the final dvd with a DTS track will be the right size
even if the author software flags it as oversized.

Best one to use is here

http://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm

If you want a AC3 and DTS track just add 448 to 768 (1216)

PS: I always use SurCode DVD DTS to encode the waves
directly when using the above method.

Thank you for your post!

I try to fix the dts file use Besplit, but it seems not support dts file perfectly, it have detected the synch problems in the file but the repaired dts file can not be playback in good order! And it generate a loud noise from beginning to end!

I convert the waves to AC3, but just 4 chunneles can be playback, the Center and LFE chunneles is mute! what has caused this problem?
