Video is ripped in the m2v format but there is no audio. I could not find any reference in the guide as to correctly decoding the audio to be a part of the m2v file. There is only one track of audio which is in the first track.

I selected demux all video and selected all tracks in the audio menu button.

I may be leaving out a step that is not covered in the manual since I am not that familiar with this program. Assistance or guideance is appreciated.

Thanks!!

An M2V is a video elementary stream. It cannot hold audio. If you want to make a program stream holding video and audio, then use (for example) Imago muxer to multiplex the M2V with the audio elementary stream that was demuxed.

BTW, you keep referring to it as GDIndex. It's called DGIndex.

Donald,

Very sorry that I misstated the name of the program. I realize you wrote this program. I found it much easier to use than DVD2AVI good bob. I just did not expect the loss of the audio portion and did not know how to re-combine it. I was hoping I could do this with just about any DVD authoring program.

I will into the one your mentioned.

Thanks for the prompt response.

I doubt it's vanity that made neuron2 point out the misspelling of the program; other users of this forum might miss some helpful advice if they search "DGIndex" and miss something they might need or be looking for.

Regarding the audio portion for which you are looking, it's demuxed into a separate file which stays in the same folder as the original VOB.
