I have a SONY DRU-800A Dual Layer ReWritable Drive.

It has the option to change the region code up to 5 times. I used it to back up a Region 2 DVD I own and "thought" I only changed the region code one time.

Apparantly I did it several times and need to figure out a way to reset it so I can get it back to Region 1.

Does anyone know a way to do this?

I'm not sure how to reset the region code, but next time use dvd shrink - it can strip the region code from the dvd you are backing up.

You could make your Drive region free.

I did use DVD Shrink.

However the original DVD was Region 2 which means I had to make my drive Region 2 in order to create a region free DVD.
