Hi guys, and good day. I hope that all is well. :)
I think I know the answer to this, but being a newbie I want to get some expert information and I couldn't seem to find the answer in the FAQs area.
I'm just curious if there's anything you can do to re-use your DVD-R if you experience a bad burn and it wasn't completed properly?
Thanks guys and take care,
-Scott

You can re-use them as coasters to protect your coffee table.

I like to use lightscribe coasters (with interesting images) at the dinner table for when we have guests over, 'cough' 'cough'.

Hi!
There may be occasions when what you believe to be a bad burn" is really "no burn" at all.
It only takes a few seconds to try to use the media again. Your burning software will let you know whether the media is actually a partially burned, useless "coaster"...

I prefer to make cool wallart out of my coasters. :) It looks pretty cool when the sun shines in on them. But like setarip said, simplest way would be to attempt to burn onto the DVD, and let the program tell you if its borked or not.

Thanks guys....that's what I was thinking. Sometimes my DVD XCopy Platinum is a little goofy and doesn't seem to finish up the burn sometimes. I'll doublecheck 'em, otherwise send 'em to the coaster grave yard.
Take care,
