I have a smartphone with a 176x200 display.
The player (not WMP9) betaplayer (this is the old name of The Core Media Player Pocket) rotate the image to play the movie in full screen.
What is strange is the fact that for doing this it seem to me that zoom 200% the image. I don't know if is correct what I'm saying but on my PC I must to zoom 200% for realise how the movie will look on the phone screen.
Now I'm very satisfied I can encode (with xvid ;) ) at resonable quality.
I use avisynth to change fps from 25 to 17 then I encode qpel and target 4 and the resulting average bit rate is around 200.
That's all
