Help with the preview in VirtualDub

I am using (I am kinda cheap ...:)) the VD's preview for watching TV connection coming from TV cable to VCR into the VIVO card. Everything works fine but for the interlace part which makes the video look awful. I have added the deinterlace filter but it doesn't help the preview.

Is there anyway I can have the preview deinterlaced in realtime?

Overlay has same interlace lines problem. May be its because of watching the interlaced content on monitor (which is at 60Hz) and I will have to live with it.

I don't think so. Usually I use VDub to watch TV too and it's good.
I think with overlay you should not see interlaced frames.
Filters do not work because they are used only during video editing, not for the preview, unless you set the preview mode I think, but I've never tried.
On the forum I posted a thread about filters in realtime capture that do not work..
let me know if you make them work..
