Hi

Lately I'm getting things like:

MEMORY MANAGEMENT
IRQ NOT EQUAL OR LESS
PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED MEMORY
or just freeze

HW: 3000+ with NF3 chipset, 1GB DDR400

I ran some tests:
* Windows Memory Tester made a first pass whitout problem, but got one problem on second pass. (memtest86 did not even start)
* Prime test reported rounding error after 4 calculs (got 0.5, after 1 minute)

I reran the prime test today and it felt on first calcul.

From all these datas, I think the CPU is failing (since momery management is done by the CPU, not chipset).

What do you think?

bad memory. That causes both the failure in primetest and memtest86. Easy way to test it is to remove 1 stick of memory of you have 2 sticks installed.

with single ram module (whatever which), everything works fine. I think my RAM is bad with Dual Channel and cause errors.

Ram might not be bad. I had the same problem with PNY ram in one comp, Put it in another and it works fine. My son has 2 512 Corsairs top of the line either will work alone, but not together. Maybe compatibility issues.

I'll get those (http://www.microbytes.com/showproduct.php?stk=3092).

Depending on the timing, you may need matched RAM for dual channel. If you aren't pushing the system to its max, you can often use any set of bargain memory by relaxing the timing and/or boosting the memory voltage. I'm boosting the voltage on my unmatched bargain RAM for my Opteron system.

I'm getting a kit, so excat same dimm. I'm running on 1x512MB in the meantime. I think it's been unstable since I got it (9+ months ago)...
