hi majesty and welcome to the forum,

I haven't seen this scenarist error already any more for a long time. Which scenaid version was used?
A possible solution is here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=77846&highlight=scenarist+error+faq) .

if it shall go fast...

Edit the start/end time for the two subpics in the track editor.

Good luck, T.

I'm also wondering about the scenaid version, should happen with recent versions.

its scenaid 1.7.0.5 and scenarist 3.0

in the track editor all that i see for subpictures is a language choice, where can i individually edit the times for certain subpictures?

edit: from the .sst file there is no overlap on the subpictures.

Mark in the track editor the subpicture VTS1_P1_20_14 and the Subpicture Play is shown for this subpic in the Property Browser. Double-click on the data icon...change the display duration (Data End Time) for this subpic ( 00:00:03;08 to 00:00:03;06).

You should have a small gap between the two subpics now.

Old:VTS1_P1_20_14 (00:01:00:00-00:01:03:08) / VTS1_P1_20_15 (00:01:03:07-00:01:05:19)
New:VTS1_P1_20_14 (00:01:00:00-00:01:03:06) / VTS1_P1_20_15 (00:01:03:07-00:01:05:19)

i've been able to fix the subtitle issue, but there were 6 more subpicture issues that i was unaware of. is this problem relegated to newer versions of scenaid? what can i do to prevent the overlapping of subpicture times?

Difficult...I haven't had this problem already any more for a long time. Neither in the current version or in an older version.

I think only one of the authors can answer the question.

what build of scenarist are you using and also is this PAL or NTSC? if its NTSC then you're issue are probably due to the wayscenarist handles drop frame for subs - however this is an old problem that was fixed a log time ago. I suggest hosting your scp and scenaid.log. on a site somewhere so we can have a good look at it. The fact that you're subs do not overlap in the sst, suggests a drop frame issue, or there are too many subs close together that do not meet the minimum duration for 2 subs. Scenarist has many quirks :D

this is an ntsc disc and i am using scenarist version 3.0.1. the weird thing is i used one of the guides involving reauthorist and did not encounter this problem.

here is the .scp and scenaidlog.txt in rar fomat: http://s56.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0TZS7CAXR4HUQ3PM0YWUBG4U5S

You're problem is Scenarist 3.1. This is a bad build so say we all, downgrade to 3.0 or 2.7, and you're problems will go away :D

downgrading to 3.0 fixed the problem, however i have another issue. scenarist seems to have crashed midway through, i had to restart my pc, now i am unable to import into scenarist. if i choose import it just sits and does nothing. ive attempted to restart/repair/uninstall/reinstall in all different orders, and it is still not functioning. any ideas?

edit: did a search and saw scenarist doesn't like nForce drivers....
