Xvid video editor?

I have been trying to find a video editor that can manipulate divx or xvid files.
I need one because i want to insert inside the xvid a vhs audio, and i need to cut commercials and sincronize the vhs audio with the video.

Does anyone know wich video editor can work for me?
adobe premiere doesnt work with xvid and divx :(

but virtualdub doesnt let me fully edit an audio track, i need to see the audio track and delete some pieces in order to make it sincronize with the video :(

You can use a dedicated audio editor such GoldWave or CoolEdit...

come on, using goldwave i would have to write down on a paper the exact time when the commercial starts, and when the commercial ends, or write down when you hear this and that, then edit the wav, it would be a pain in the ass. would take 3 hours to make a sincronized audio

something that could be done with a good audio and video editor in 10 minutes.

This should make it easier: you can't "just edit" an Xvid-encoded file. The best way to do what you're attempting would be to convert the file to another more easily edited format.
